DUB JUDAH is a multi-instrumentalist Born in the UK. Also a very good producer of roots music, Back in the early eighties he was the drummer in the Cameroonian outfit, Musawa and the Bushmasters. Dub Judah played bass in the band ‘JAH FOUNDATION’ 1993 - 1988 Dub Judah is the director of the DUB JOCKEY label. He has been a session musician on various albums and singles other labels. If you look on the back of many albums you will notice DUB JUDAH playing bass, keyboards, guitars, or drum programming. He is the bass player in the one of the heaviest Roots Reggae bands ‘THE TWINKLE BROTHERS’. Discography:
The first release On His dub jockey label was the now classic album ‘DIGITAL DIMENSION’ in 1989 Followed by the 12” single ‘NO TRESPASSERS’ in 1990 which is the vocal version of the title track ‘Digital Dimension’. Then in November 1991 came the 7” single ‘BABYLON IS A TRAP’ which is now a sound system classic. The album Babylon is a trap came the following year and the dub world was ready for anything that came from the dub jockey label. Other albums on the dub jockey label are:
Coming soon...: Dub Judah is planning to release the next album on which is provisionally called ‘LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT’ on DUB JOCKEY MUSIC. Some of the tracks are currently being played as Dub plates around the UK. It’s now time to bring out the re-release of ‘Babylon is a trap’. Look for the release around summer 2008!
