Tez Fa Siyon is Amharic and means "hope of heaven". The band originated in Nottingham and its founder members were Adhi Propfh and Struggleton. Tez Fa Siyon was formed in 1988. Debut single “HIS MAJESTY PRESIDES” was on general release in 1994. Debut album “P’YOURNESS” was released in 1995 and featured Adhi, Kieja Samuels, Arika Douglas and Struggleton as a vocal quartet. This album was widely sold and was particularly successful in Europe and America. Their second album ”TIMES LIKE THESE” was produced by the Twinkle Brothers and featured Adhi Propfh in combination with the legendary Norman Grant. In 1998 Tez Fa Siyon formed their record label and publishing company, MASKARAM PRODUCIONS. The label was launched with the release of three 7 inch singles, EVIL INEVITABILITY, P’YOURNESS (abba jahnoi) and LONG LIVE THE KING.
Tez Fa Siyon’s debut stage appearance in London, was at The Forum, Kentish Town where they appeared alongside the great Pablo Gad, and the classic Mighty Diamonds, Following that performance they were asked to appear again at the same venue in support of the Twinkle Brothers. The band also supported Finlay Quaye on his debut tour starting at the Shepherds Bush Empire. This opportunity came about because Adhi had written tracks for Mr Quaye on his platinum selling debut album. Tez Fa Siyon has worked with artistes such as: Finlay Quaye, Twinkle Brothers, Pablo Gad, , Dub Judah, Little Roy, Prince Allah, Roy Shirley and Iauwata Sellasie( hard skin) to name a few. Currently Tez Fa Siyon are working on and promoting an album due for release in the summer.(08) The album is a joint production between Paul” Bim” Prince of the Naturalites and Realistics fame, Sammy Clarke and Adhi Propfh. Two cd promos: HEAD 2 HEAD and REMNANT are being circulated.
